Memorial Day weekend has arrived as political rhetoric is at a fever pitch. Conservatives questioned President Obama’s ability to lead and his respect for the military because he visited a military cemetery in Illinois and not the tomb of the fallen soldier. Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson (R-Missouri) questioned Tommy Sower’s military service record. Conservatives are telling the American people that gays cannot serve openly in the military because it will cause “chaos amongst the ranks”. The nonsense went on all weekend.
